In Kyiv, during the national ceremony UP 100 ‘The Edge of Choice / Choice on the Edge,’ a special award for power engineers, initiated by the publication Ukrainska Pravda, was presented. The company's representatives were honoured with special awards for restoring energy supplies during the full-scale war. Among them were:

  • Oleksandr Danyliuk — a power engineer at DTEK Grids in Kyiv region.
  • Oleksandr Kryvoruchko — a mechanical engineer at DTEK Energy.
  • Dmytro Savostianov — a power engineer at DTEK Energy's TPP.
  • Ihor Moshovskyi — a miner at DTEK Energy.

The ‘Those Who Keep the Lights On’ award is presented to people who support the operation of energy infrastructure on a daily basis, often working in high-risk conditions and restoring power to Ukrainian homes after attacks.

"This award is not about one profession or even one story. It is about all of us: the miners who extract coal underground every day, the TPP teams who generate electricity and restart equipment after shelling, the power engineers who restore power to people's homes despite the danger, and the mechanical engineers who manufacture and repair coal mining equipment. We have different specialities, but we are united by one goal — to keep the country's lights on. And today, this award is about the power of our teamwork and the responsibility we bear to Ukraine every day," said Dmytro Savostianov, a power engineer at DTEK Energy's TPP.
