‘The energy sector is still recovering from the enemy's massive attacks. Therefore, our task remains unchanged - to do everything we can to ensure the reliable operation of the energy system. We understand that, especially in summer and then during the next heating season, the operation of thermal generation will traditionally be in great demand. Producing fuel for its needs requires careful planning and consistency in all processes. The new longwall faces are the basis for the production of fuel and, accordingly, for the reliable operation of generating facilities, especially during peak consumption,' said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

Last year, the company's investments in Ukrainian coal mining totalled about UAH 7.5 billion, and over the last three years (2022-2024) - UAH 18 billion. The funds were used to develop and repair capital mine workings, equip coal faces, furnish mines with tunnelling equipment, underground mine transport and support production facilities.

DTEK Energy runs a closed-loop coal-fired power generation cycle. The installed capacity of thermal power generation is 13.3 GW (as of January 2022). DTEK has a full production cycle in coal mining: coal mining and washing, machine building and maintenance of mine equipment.
