On October 17, russian troops made another series of terrorist strikes on civil and energy infrastructure of Ukraine. Following the hits, one of DTEK Energy’s enterprises suffered damage to property and health of its employees.
In recent reports, 3 persons have been wounded. They were promptly provided with medical care and taken to hospital.
This is by far not the first DTEK Energy’s energy asset to have been exposed to attacks by russian troops, including the previous week. On October 10-11, Burshtyn TPP, Ladyzhyn TPP and Prydniprovsk TPP were all attacked.
Today, another enterprise’s energy equipment was damaged by the strikes. As soon as the security environment permits, the thermal power plant employees shall inspect the damage and start the works to manage the aftermath and resume operations.
For safety concerns, the station is currently being handled only by the critical workers. All the rest are working remotely.
We continue doing everything possible to maintain reliable work of Ukraine’s energy system under conditions of the aggressor’s terror against the energy sector. DTEK aligns its efforts with NEC Ukrenergo, the regulator. If necessary, DTEK Energy’s enterprises shall be running all available energy generating units to ensure stable operation of Ukraine’s energy system.
DTEK’s energy professionals continue their selfless mission of service for the benefit of Ukraine and its courageous people.
