Serhii Kriuchko, Head of Production Department at DTEK's Burshtynska TPP, has been awarded the honorary title of “Honoured Energy Worker of Ukraine”. The state award was presented to him by Svitlana Onyshchuk, Head of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration.
Serhii Kriuchko’s professional work was recognised as a significant contribution to supporting Ukraine’s energy security.
“For me, the energy sector is not just a profession. It is my life’s work. It is a daily responsibility and a team of people you can rely on. Because we fully understand that the light and heat for millions of Ukrainians depend on the work of each of us. Especially during such difficult winters as the one we have all just gone through together. At such moments, you especially realise what it is all for,” said the energy specialist, commenting on the award.
Serhii Kriuchko’s professional career is inextricably linked to his home power plant. He began his career at the Company in 1992 as an electrician specialising in the repair of electrical machinery in the electrical workshop. Over three decades of work, he has gone through all the key stages of professional growth — from a blue-collar role to management positions in production and technical departments.
Since June 2023, the power engineer has headed the Production Department, combining profound expertise in production processes with managerial experience.
During the full-scale war, under his leadership, numerous efforts were organised to overcome the aftermath of shelling, maintain the company’s resilience and ensure more reliable operations in high-risk conditions.
