On 5 June, another prisoner exchange took place between Ukraine and russia. A total of 185 Ukrainian servicemen and one Ukrainian civilian returned home.
Among those released was our colleague, DTEK Energy miner, 35-year-old Vladyslav Zamurin.
With the start of the full-scale invasion, Vladyslav took up arms to defend Ukraine. He was captured on 18 May 2022. For almost four years, he remained in russian captivity, far from his loved ones, home and normal life.
All this time, his loved ones were waiting for him. Yesterday, the long-awaited moment of return finally came.
Together with his family, friends and colleagues, we sincerely rejoice at Vladyslav’s release and wish him strength, health, peace and the fastest possible recovery after what he has endured.
We thank everyone who works every day to bring Ukrainians home.
We believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
