For Ternivska Mine team 2020 began with the opening of a new longwall. Its industrial reserves exceed 760 thousand tons of coal which will allow miners of the second section to work stably in the next production year. This fuel will be used to generate electricity at Ukrainian thermal power plants.
First longwall in 2020: a new scope of work at Pavlogradske Mine Group
It is planned to extract 2 thousand tons of coal per day from the new longwall. Its length is 200 meters, and the extraction height is more than 1 meter.
“Our team has a new task: to process the longwall 405. To launch it on time, we repaired the KD-80.55 mechanical fastening sections and the UKD 200-500 combine. So we are ready to extract coal without interruption,” Artiom Anosov, foreman of breakage face miners of site 2 of DTEK Pavlogradske Mine Group, said.
We work and make every required effort to render Ukraine independent from the supply of foreign energy resources,” Roman Chesnakov, supervisor of coal mining site 2 at DTEK Pavlogradske Mine Group.
New longwall is deposited at a depth of 205 meters. DTEK allocated over UAH 25,500,000 for its preparation. This year, DTEK Pavlogradske Mine Group team plans to commission 4 new longwalls, prepare almost 21 km of underground mine workings, and extract more than 4 million tons of coal for thermal generation in Ukraine.
