In particular, Ildar Salieiev, who has been heading DTEK Energy for the past 4 years and ensured the operation and restoration of thermal generation amid unprecedented destruction, will strengthen Metinvest Group's top management.
Oleksandr Fomenko, who has been with the Group since 2000, will take over as CEO of DTEK Energy. During the war, he was in charge of DTEK Grids and was responsible for restoring power grids after shelling, particularly in critical frontline regions. His key priorities in his new position are to ensure that electricity generation is at the right level to support the energy system, attract international technical assistance and restore the destroyed generating facilities, as well as ensure sustainable coal production.
Alina Bondarenko will take up the position of CEO of DTEK Grids. She has been with the group since 2014. In recent years, she worked as the company's Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for the implementation of investment programmes for distribution system operators. Her main priorities are to ensure the prompt restoration of destroyed distribution grids and further implementation of the Smart Grids project.
D.Trading Group's trading business will be headed by Dmytro Sakharuk, who has been with DTEK since 2010. He has been coordinating the work of DTEK's anti-crisis headquarters since the first days of the full-scale invasion. His main tasks in his new position will be to actively develop D.Trading in foreign energy markets and accelerate the European integration of the energy sector, which will help strengthen Ukraine's energy security.
