DTEK Group has appointed new executives at DTEK Energy, DTEK Grids and D.TRADING to strengthen its business resilience in the face of ongoing russian aggression and accelerate integration into European energy markets.
Oleksandr Fomenko Is Appointed CEO of DTEK Energy

In particular, Ildar Salieiev, who has been heading DTEK Energy for the past 4 years and ensured the operation and restoration of thermal generation amid unprecedented destruction, will strengthen Metinvest Group's top management.

Oleksandr Fomenko, who has been with the Group since 2000, will take over as CEO of DTEK Energy. During the war, he was in charge of DTEK Grids and was responsible for restoring power grids after shelling, particularly in critical frontline regions. His key priorities in his new position are to ensure that electricity generation is at the right level to support the energy system, attract international technical assistance and restore the destroyed generating facilities, as well as ensure sustainable coal production.

Alina Bondarenko will take up the position of CEO of DTEK Grids. She has been with the group since 2014. In recent years, she worked as the company's Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for the implementation of investment programmes for distribution system operators. Her main priorities are to ensure the prompt restoration of destroyed distribution grids and further implementation of the Smart Grids project.

D.Trading Group's trading business will be headed by Dmytro Sakharuk, who has been with DTEK since 2010. He has been coordinating the work of DTEK's anti-crisis headquarters since the first days of the full-scale invasion. His main tasks in his new position will be to actively develop D.Trading in foreign energy markets and accelerate the European integration of the energy sector, which will help strengthen Ukraine's energy security.

‘DTEK Group is facing unprecedented challenges in the midst of a full-scale war and constant hostile attacks on the energy infrastructure. The entire top management and all employees are working every day to solve the difficulties that no other energy system in the world has ever faced. Today's changes are aimed at enhancing the resilience of our business and implementing the Group's long-term strategy - to integrate Ukraine into global energy markets as soon as possible and improve our country's energy security. I would like to thank the managers of all our businesses for their expertise and contribution to building a sustainable energy system in Ukraine during the war,’ commented DTEK CEO Maxim Timchenko.
