DTEK Energy’s Mechanical Engineers Manufactured Over 160,000 Spare Parts for Mines in January

At the height of the heating season, DTEK Energy's mechanical engineers continue to work flat out to provide Ukrainian mines with the equipment and spare parts they need for more reliable coal production.

In January 2026, the company's machine-building enterprises manufactured and repaired 161 units of mining equipment. The mechanical engineers also produced over 160,000 spare parts and components for it.

The beginning of 2026 was extremely difficult for our company and the entire Ukrainian energy sector. Despite this, we have already gone through two-thirds of the most difficult military winter in the last four years. Together with power engineers, repairmen and miners, our machine builders are working flat out to supply mines with the necessary equipment and spare parts. This is an important contribution to the resilience of the energy system and to ensuring that Ukrainian households have as much light and heat as possible," said Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO of DTEK Energy.

According to the annual results, DTEK Energy invested UAH 6.7 billion in supporting Ukrainian coal mining in 2025, and over UAH 18 billion in the previous three years (2022-2024). The funds were allocated for the construction and repair of mine workings, equipping longwalls and maintaining the production capacity of the mines.
