DTEK Energy’s Mechanical Engineers Have Manufactured Eight Roadheaders and Over 2.2 Million Spare Parts for Coal Mines

DTEK Energy's mechanical engineers continue to work hard to ensure that Ukrainian mines have the necessary equipment to maintain coal production.

In the first eleven months of 2025, the mechanical engineers manufactured and repaired over 3,000 pieces of mining equipment. This included eight new roadheaders, one mine fan and ten Ukrainian-made electric motors.

Moreover, machine builders supported the needs of miners by manufacturing over 2.2 million spare parts and components.

"We all pursue the same goal – to get through this, already the fourth, war winter. Ukrainian machine builders are also working hard to support the equipment needs of Ukrainian mines. This is our resilience, especially during the heating season. Our power engineers, repairmen, miners and machine builders continue to do everything possible to ensure that Ukrainian households have more light and heat," said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

For reference

Since the beginning of 2025, DTEK Energy has invested UAH 6.1 billion to support Ukrainian coal mining. Last year, investments amounted to UAH 7.5 billion, and over three years (2022-2024) — more than UAH 18 billion. The funds were allocated for the construction and repair of mine workings, equipping longwalls and maintaining the production capacity of the mines.
