Lugansk TPP increases the reliability of the equipment to ensure light and heat for households

Employees of Interenergoservice, the repair company, continue to repair the generating equipment of DTEK Luganska TPP. Power engineers perform work that improve technical and financial performance indicators and increase equipment reliability. DTEK Energy acts in the interests of the country. This provides for reliable and stable operation of Luganska TPP, so that our houses have light and heat.

This year, the main load of electricity production is borne by power units 10 and 13, since they are the most economical. There is also power unit 15 in reserve which, if necessary, can be put into operation. Its technical inspection is planned in preparation for the autumn and winter period.

In July, the repairmen have already replaced the defective sections of the case of the folders of raw coal feeders of power unit 10. This will reduce the number of suction cups along the dust path and lessen the likelihood of the folders clogging up with coal. In addition, it will prevent coal from entering the repair sites, and clean equipment is a guarantee of its safe and long-term operation.

Now power engineers are repairing units of the power unit 10. This will improve the technical and financial performance of the equipment and increase the boiler’s life.

“This month, we will repair the transformer group 2T VRP 220 kV. We will replace high-voltage bushings and resistors on air switches. It is very important to thoroughly prepare for, and carry out, this work as soon as possible, since during the repair, electricity will be supplied from the busline of DTEK Luganska TPP only by 220 kV OHL LuTPP – Lysychanska,” Dmytro Kovtoniuk, Acting Head of the Electrical Department of DTEK Luganska TPP, said.

From August to October, power engineers will prepare a section of the plant heating network: they will repair boilers, fittings, and pipelines. This will allow to start the heating season on time and provide Shchastia with heat.

In September, it is planned to replace 120 meters of ash and slag pipeline 5 which will increase its strength and thereby prevent ash from entering the ecosystem.

“We work effectively. Each of us knows that the stable operation of the plant, the main power generating facility in Lugansk region, depends on the equipment reliability,” Serhii Muraviov, Head of the Interenergoservice equipment repair shop at Luganska TPP, emphasized.
