A Power Engineer From Ladyzhyn Receives a Medal From the President

Yesterday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with employees of the energy sector, thanked them for their work and honoured them with state awards. Oleksandr Zaporozhets, a power unit operator at DTEK Ladyzhynska TPP, received a medal ‘For Labour and Victory’.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi noted that the work of power engineers is one of the key elements of Ukraine's defence. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have worked to ensure that the country does not lose power, and thanks to them, Ukraine has passed the third winter of a full-scale war without blackouts and managed to preserve the united energy system.

‘This is an extremely important achievement of the people of Ukraine. There are many people who protect power facilities, restore them after attacks, repair them - even under fire - build what is needed to protect them, ensure the operation of power plants, grids - all our energy sector,' said the Head of State.

We sincerely congratulate Oleksandr on the honourable award! This is a well-deserved recognition of his personal dedication, professionalism and contribution to the country's energy sustainability.

We are proud to work in a team with such people!
