Focus of Turkey: CORUM GROUP and Imbat Madencilik Signed the First Contract

CORUM GROUP, Ukraine’s largest manufacturer of mining equipment, enters the Turkish market. The company has made its first contract to supply KD90T 17.5/28 support sections to Imbat Madencilik, a leading coal mining company.

The entry into new markets in one of the key areas of the company’s development was approved within the framework of its Development Strategy until 2030. Based on its experience in developing customized products tailored for clients’ needs and a wide product portfolio, Corum has set itself a goal to establish the supply of mining equipment to the markets of Turkey and India.

"The contract signed with Imbat Madencilik is the recognition of the high quality of the equipment manufactured by our company and the conformation of professionalism of our employees. Due to the mining and geological features, coal mining in Turkey is associated with dangerous and tougher challenges than those seen in Ukraine. This is why occupational safety and modern technological solutions are in the foreground,” noted Oleh Nesterenko, Corum Trading Director. "And CORUM GROUP’s machinery, owing to innovation and continuous enhancement, is focused precisely on the efficient and safe work of miners. As a result, we have capabilities for tackling the most challenging tasks. CORUM GROUP is a Ukrainian business offering a European level of service trusted by domestic and international partners."

The CORUM GROUP Engineering and Technical Centre specialists optimized the KD90T 17.5/28 support design for the client’s conditions and agreed on the technical test conditions. The supports will be manufactured at the Corum Druzhkovka Machine-Building Plant, a company’s enterprise. The sections will be shipped to the client this summer.

"Imbat Madencilik is an exemplar in the development of long faces in Turkey. We are constantly looking for innovations and improvements. CORUM GROUP has extensive experience in mechanical engineering. Corum’s experts paid a lot of attention to the issues that arise with our current fleet of powered supports from Poland and China, asked questions about the problems, and offered solutions. That is why we have decided to try and test the Corum’s products", commented Yavuz Burbut, Imbat Madencilik General Manager, in connection with the contract.
