Miners of the fifth coal mining site of Ternivka Mine Group to come up with a new coal face

The first new coal face has been launched at Ternivka Mine Group since the year beginning. The state commission rated 198 coal face with excellent grade as far as its compliance with all industrial safety requirements was concerned.

The new coal face shall be worked out by the team of the fifth mining site, led by Anatoly Lebedev. Coal face length is 180 meters and it features the stocks of 180 thousand tons. The miners plan to work there for more than three months and to produce an average of 1.8 ths. tons of coal per day.

“Today, our coal is in high demand. Our Ukrainian thermal power plants are craving for it. Therefore, we tried to quickly prepare the new coal face for works. Acting on our own, we overhauled the mining equipment from the decommissioned 196th coal face to be used at the new 198th coal face in just 15 days. And we managed to do this owing to professionalism of the employees of our entire mining management. This year, the staff of our mining site was the first to prepare a new coal face at the enterprise, so guys are in a combative mood. We are ready for uninterrupted coal production to maintain energy independence of our country,” said Anatoliy Lebedev, Head of No. 5 coal mining site, Ternivka Mine Group.

Since the year beginning, Ternivka Mine Group has already produced more than 860,000 tons of coal. By the end of the year, five more cleaning pits are planned to be put into operation to extract four million tons of fuel for Ukrainian thermal power plants.
