DTEK power engineers trained to extinguish a fire
On March 15, DTEK's energy industry, Zaporizhzhya TPP, together with rescuers, 32 state firefighting and rescue units (GPRS) worked out the procedure for the occurrence of a conditional fire. In the exercises, special equipment and combat calculation of GPRS, and about 35 power engineers of voluntary fire brigades of TPPs were involved.

According to the legend of the training of ignition, there appeared at once in several production divisions of thermal power plants. At one of the power units 300 MW, as a result of damage to the bearings of the hydraulic clutches of the feeding electric pump, a strong leak of oil and its ignition appeared. The burning oil spreads through the marks of the engine room, because of which the unit No. 2 is disconnected from the power grid. At this time, due to a conditional malfunction on the block number 5 800 MW ruptured the generator seal tank with a hydrogen explosion and ignition of oil. The unit was switched off accidentally, the oil from the tank is drained into the emergency capacity. And in the fuel-transport shop in accordance with the exercises because of the breakdown of the cable insulation, there was a threat of spreading the fire to the control panels and all the car dumper buildings.
Together with the rescuers of the GPRS, combat calculations of the voluntary fire detachments of the station have worked out the localization and extinguishing of potential ignition. After the elimination of the conditional fire participants of the training conducted an analysis of the joint work.
"DTEK cares about the safety of personnel at its enterprises. Therefore, every year we conduct firefighting, anti-emergency training and exercises on civil protection of the population. To do this, we also involve third-party experts-specialists in the fire and rescue part, "says Igor Snegin, director of DTEK at Zaporizhzhya TPP. - Only repeatedly repeating, practicing the order of actions, we can be sure that in the event of an emergency, we will work clearly and smoothly. The personnel will be safe, and the generation of electricity for consumers will continue reliably and without interruption. "
