DTEK Brings Together Investors and Partners at URC-2026 to Support Ukraine's Energy Sector
Employees of DTEK Energy, DTEK Grids, NPC Ukrenergo and Naftogaz Group represented thousands of their colleagues across the country — people who restore light to cities and villages after shelling, rebuild power plants, grids and gas infrastructure, work under the constant threat of attacks and ensure the resilience of Ukraine's energy system every day.

That evening, they were among the leaders of international energy companies, government officials, investors and representatives of the world's leading financial institutions. The discussions were attended by representatives of the IFC, EBRD, EIB, Siemens Energy, GE Vernova, Vestas, the governments of Ukraine and Poland and other organisations that are helping to restore and modernise Ukraine's energy sector.

A special part of the programme was a moment honouring Ukrainian power engineers. Andrii Toiunda, a DTEK power engineer, spoke on behalf of all workers in the industry.

He thanked international partners for their support of Ukraine's energy sector and their help in restoring damaged infrastructure, and also expressed gratitude to Ukraine's defenders.

“When you know that tens of thousands of people are waiting for the light to come back, and then you bring it back — that is no longer just a job. It feels like a small victory. This is exactly what gives you the strength to keep working — despite the danger, the fatigue and everything you have to face every day,” Andrii shared.

Symbolically, that evening the power engineers were joined by ambassadors of Ukrainian resilience — Oleksandr Usyk, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, as well as the Liberov photographers. They supported the event with their appearances and reminded the international audience of the strength of the people who are defending, restoring and building Ukraine today.

For the first time, the voice of Ukrainian power engineers — the people who keep the country supplied with light and heat every day — carried all the way to the highest international level, at a forum that can shape new partnerships, mobilise support and attract investment in Ukraine’s future.
