"We consistently help our military with everything we use in production that can be of use to them at the front. And we will continue to do so as long as there is a need," said Andrii, Deputy Chief Executive Director of one of DTEK Energy's coal mines.
Supplying timber for the needs of Ukrainian defenders is just a part of the aid the company regularly provides to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Over the past two years, the company's coal mining operations have supplied over 1,000 tonnes of coal to Ukrainian defenders at the frontline and military units. In order to reach as many units as possible with the humanitarian aid and at the request of the military, volunteer employees have recently started packing it in 50kg bags. In March, the supplies were sent to the defenders - to Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Since russia's full-scale invasion began, DTEK Group has allocated over UAH 1.1 bln to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and humanitarian purposes. The lion's share of this aid is the contribution of DTEK Energy companies.
