In January-August 2025, DTEK Energy allocated UAH 4.9 billion to the development of coal production, which made it possible to maintain production capacity and introduce modern technologies. Since the start of the full-scale war, the company has invested almost UAH 23 billion in supporting mines, repairing and modernising equipment, and improving staff safety.
To maintain adequate coal production, the company continues to prepare new longwalls. Year-to-date, 14 new longwalls have been commissioned, enabling the company to maintain the necessary level of fuel production for Ukraine's thermal power generation.
"Despite the risks of war, our people continue to do their work every day, providing light and heat to the homes of millions of Ukrainians. We continue to invest in the recovery of generating capacities and coal enterprises, because our main goal on the eve of the new heating season is to maintain the reliability of thermal power generation and the energy system as a whole," said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
DTEK Energy also remains one of the largest taxpayers in the regions and the country as a whole. Since the beginning of the year, the company's coal enterprises alone have paid more than UAH 9.7 billion to budgets at all levels, making a significant contribution to supporting the economic stability of the state and local communities.
