Dnipropetrovsk region has received 15 ventilators from DTEK and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation since the beginning of the pandemic

DTEK Prydniprovska TPP jointly with Rinat Akhmetov Foundation delivered another two high-end ventilators to Dnipro doctors. The equipment was delivered to city hospitals Nos. 9 and 16. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Dnipro region hospitals have received 15 ventilators in addition to other aid.

Ventilators delivered to Dnipro region medics by DTEK and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation are state-of-art intensive care equipment. They are user-friendly and minimize the human errors. The ventilators can be used immediately after the installation, which is extremely important. The lives of patients suffering from COVID-19 implications need saving right here and now.

“DTEK is a socially responsible company. As soon as Ukraine faced coronavirus challenges, we joined active efforts to help the state. Now, Dnipro has four ventilators donated by DTEK Prydniprovska TPP and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation. Our employees and their families live here. This is why it is important for us that Dnipro region hospitals have everything they might need to provide quality health care. I would like to thank all Ukrainian doctors who fight COVID-19. We thank you for saving our lives,” said Anatolii Borychevskyi, director of DTEK Prydniprovska TPP.

Over UAH 300 million were channeled by Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives program to supply the essentials required to fight the pandemic to Ukrainian regions. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 30 thousand express tests to diagnose coronavirus, protective suits for medical personnel, and 15 ventilators that save human lives and will continue to do so once the pandemic ends, have been delivered to Dnipro region hospitals.

“We are always glad to accept help from a socially responsible business. We invite all philanthropists and people of good will who would like to join efforts with city authorities to counteract the pandemic. We will welcome any help,” says Borys Filatov, Dnipro city mayor.

Dnipro medics are confident that another two ventilators donated by DTEK Prydniprovska TPP and Rinat Akhmetov Foundation to city hospitals Nos. 9 and 16 give a hope of saving hundreds of human lives.

“Our hospital is one of those that admit COVID-19 patients. Currently we have over a hundred of patients with this diagnosis. We have already received help from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation which is very important for the doctors who fight the pandemic on the frontline and the patients. This is why it is impossible to underestimate the importance of this aid,” commented Oleh Hasilev, general director of city clinical hospital No. 16.
