Anatolii Borychevskyi, Director of DTEK Energy’s TPP, Receives the Title of Honoured Power Engineer of Ukraine

Anatolii Borychevskyi, Director of DTEK Energy's thermal power plant, has been awarded the honorary title of Honoured Power Engineer of Ukraine.

The award is a recognition of his professionalism, many years of experience and leadership during the most difficult times for the energy sector.

Anatolii began his career in the energy sector as an electrician at Kurakhivska TPP. He rose through the ranks, from shift supervisor to chief engineer, and in 2013 he headed Kurakhivska TPP. In 2019, he was appointed director of Prydniprovska TPP.

During the full-scale war in 2023, he returned to Kurakhivska TPP, which was operating under constant shelling. Under his leadership, the plant repeatedly resumed operations after attacks, and an unprecedented operation was carried out to evacuate equipment critical for the restoration of other plants and to relocate the staff.

Currently, as a Director of one of the company's thermal power plants, Anatolii Borychevskyi continues to implement the principles of responsibility, sustainability, and care for the team. Earlier this year, he was also awarded the ‘Distinguished Power Engineer of Ukraine’ badge.

On 13 September, during the TitansUA sports competition for veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war, 14 employees of DTEK Energy companies also received high government and state awards. Miners, power engineers and mechanical engineers of the company who helped to maintain the energy front and prevent the enemy from plunging the country into darkness were awarded certificates of honour from the Cabinet of Ministers and letters of gratitude from the Prime Minister. The event was held under the initiative of Serhii Lysak, Head of Dnipro Regional Military Administration.
