DTEK Energy is the operating company responsible for coal mining and electricity generation within DTEK Group. The company has established a full cycle of electricity production: the company's mines produce coal, which is mainly concentrated at its own plants and converted into electricity at its own thermal power plants. DTEK Energy operates mining machinery plants that manufacture new equipment, supply mines with the necessary parts and provide maintenance services for mine equipment.

The company's strategic goal is to maximise electricity generation from its own coal in a competitive market.
