Today, 18 August, the enemy launched a massive attack on one of DTEK Energy’s thermal power plants.
According to preliminary information, none of the employees were injured in the attack.
However, the plant’s equipment was severely damaged. Because of the shelling, the plant was forced to stop generating electricity completely.
Once the attack is over, the power engineers will promptly start work to deal with its aftermath. The company is coordinating its actions with NPC Ukrenergo to support more reliable operation of Ukraine’s energy system.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, russia has carried out more than 230 attacks on the company’s thermal power plants. The previous attack on one of the company’s TPPs took place on 12 June. In addition, the day before, on 17 August, the enemy attacked one of DTEK Energy’s enterprises – a mine in Dnipro region – killing one employee and injuring another.
