DTEK Energy includes 6 distribution companies: DTEK Donetskoblenergo *, DTEK Power Grid, DTEK Energougol ENE *, DTEK Dniprooblenergo, Kyivenergo and DTEK Krymenergo **.

They purchase electricity on the Wholesale Electricity Market of Ukraine and supply it to end consumers.

The company’s distribution enterprises serve 4.4 million customers—steel, coal and machine-building plants, as well as businesses and citizens in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regions.

Kyivenergo provides end-to-end power and heat supply in the capital of Ukraine.

The networks of distribution enterprises of DTEK Energy have the total length of 129,500 km.

In addition to power supply, DTEK sales and supply enterprises are engaged in power equipment testing, utility systems design, installation services, adjustment, repair of electrical equipment and carry out construction and installation and commissioning activities.

The company provides reliable power supply to consumers and creates additional capacity for connecting new customers by expanding power networks.

Kyivenergo PJSC is a joint stock company that provides a full range of power supply services to the city of Kyiv through a unified system for generating, transmitting, distributing and selling electricity and heat to end consumers.

Today the company consists of five stand-alone structural divisions that supply electricity, hot water and heat to Kyiv residents, and two branches: Energoservis and Energia waste incineration plant, the only one in Kyiv.

Two combined heat and power plants—CHPP 5 and CHPP 6—generate electricity (their total installed capacity is 1,200 MW). Electricity is transported through the networks of overhead and cable lines, 13,000 km long in total, which is approximately the length of the Earth’s axis from the North to South poles.

PJSC DTEK Dniprooblenergo

DTEK Dniprooblenergo PJSC is the largest power supply company in Ukraine engaged in two types of licensed activities: electricity transmission and supply. The company provides services to an area of over 32,000 square km, supplying electricity to over 40,000 companies and 1.5 million households. Total electricity transmitted by the company (which is the largest marketable supply in the country) amounts to 20% of overall consumption in Ukraine, exceeding 23 billion kWh.

The company operates 50,100 km of power transmission lines of all voltage types. Total transformer capacity of DTEK Dniprooblenergo’s substations is 11,300 MVA.

DTEK Dniprooblenergo PJSC includes:

  • Kryvyi Rih Municipal Electricity Networks,

PJSC DTEK Donetskoblenergo

DTEK Donetskoblenergo PJSC is one of Ukraine’s largest power supply companies with its own electrical grids using modern technologies and equipment. DTEK Donetskoblenergo ensures high-quality reliable power supply to the largest industrial region of Ukraine. Electricity consumers include 39,500 companies and about 1.8 million households.

DTEK Donetskoblenergo has the longest electricity networks in Ukraine. The lines are 62,300 km long. The company’s facilities include 370 35-110 kV substations and 12,700 10 (6)/0.4 kV transformer substations and distribution points with total capacity of 12,400 MVA.

DTEK Donetskoblenergo includes:

  • Donetsk Municipal Electricity Networks,
  • 34 District Electricity Networks.

DTEK Krymenergo

DTEK Krymenergo PJSC is one of the largest companies in the Crimea peninsula. The goal of the company is to ensure stable power supplies to consumers in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The company provides services to the area of 27 thousand square kilometres.

*DTEK temporarily does not control the operations of the company

Total length of DTEK Krymenergo's lines is 30.6 thousand kilometres. Total capacity of 271 transformer substations (35-110 kV) is 6,178 MVA.

DTEK is the largest shareholder of DTEK Krymenergo PJSC with 57.7% of shares.

DTEK Power Grid LLC

DTEK Power Grid LLC is DTEK’s key electricity transmission and supply company. The company is a full-fledged member of the Wholesale Electricity Market of Ukraine (WEM). Eighty-four high-voltage substations (6-35-110 kV) with total transformer capacity of 2,643 MVA and 2,600 km of power transmission lines (6-150 kV) are located in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regions.

In 2005-2008, the company implemented the Automated Commercial Electricity Metering System (ACEMS) and has been operating it since then. Today, all electricity meters of commercial and technical metering points at the company’s substations have been integrated into the ACEMS, and we are also collecting information from some substations of the licensees and consumers of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk Regions.

The main consumers of DTEK Power Grid LLC are mining and metallurgical enterprises. Coal mining, iron and steel works and heavy engineering amount for a significant share of consumption. Metinvest Holding LLC Group companies, in particular, Azovstal Iron and Steel Works, Northern Iron Ore Enrichment Works, Central Iron Ore Enrichment Works, Yenakiieve Iron and Steel Works, account for 71% of total productive supply. Electricity supplies to DTEK Group companies amount to about 7.3% of the total productive supply of DTEK Power Grid LLC.

The facilities of DTEK Energougol ENE PrJSC include 11 substations (35-110 kV) and 391 transformer substations and distribution points (6-10 kV) with total capacity of 462 MVA, and its electricity transmission lines in Donetsk Region are 1,235 km long.
